Hospital Transfers are the leading supplier of non-emergency patient transport to the BC health authority. Alamein has a long-standing supply relationship with this customer implementing system additions as required to meet evolving business needs. Initially supplying a simple job dispatch service the system has now evolved into a full mobile resource management platform of approximately 200 units encompassing vehicles and employees.

GPS Services for Fleet and Public Works Facility

Alamein were selected as a cost effective upgrade and replacement for the incumbent GPS provider. Phase 1 of the project has been to equip the city’s passenger cars & pickups including the garbage collection trucks, with snow & ice equipment to be phased in at a later stage. Alamein has worked closely with the customer during the implementation phase including the introduction of special functionality to detect unauthorised stops and identification of vehicles that have passed through a location at a given time (for resolution of complaints).

The client operates a transport & logistics fleet of 1 ton and 5 ton Tractor Trailers offering cartage services throughout the BC lower mainland and cross border. To maximise their business plan, manage significant growth and optimise fleet performance, better communication and gathering of management information of the fleet was required. Alamein delivered a Vehicle Tracking solution with devices capable of roaming between Canadian and US networks as well as capturing OBD/J1939 data.
